Sheer Hems

Sheer fabrics are a key trend for the upcoming Spring-Summer 2013 range, especially when it comes to a panel of skin-baring below the skirt.
I was a little weary when discovering this up-coming trend, but I've finally come around to it.
Some would say my fashion sense is quite modest... But, I think adding a sheer hem to the mix is a perfect way to shy away from a dull look, and is a perfectly simple way of adding length, interest and a slight dash of feminine charm.

If you're not wanting to go out and splurge on some of the pieces available (although there aren't many), I suggest you go and purchase some sheer fabric, round it off yourself, and simply pin it under your hem... Whether you choose a large or small panel, it's a fabulous way to test whether or not you like it!

Here are some examples - let me know what you think!

  1. I agree sheer clothing can be difficult to style. Stella McCartney killed it though by incorporating it modestly into staple shapes.
